By hand, one at a time, on the Goldmine scale — the standard used vinyl has been graded on for decades. The disc and the jacket get separate grades, because a clean record in a rough jacket is a different thing from the reverse. Both sit on every record's page, and the price follows the disc, since that's the part you listen to.

Anything the grade can't capture — a mark that doesn't play, a split seam, writing on the label — goes in the condition notes. I'd rather undersell a record than talk you into one.

From the market, and the math is on the page. Every record links to its exact pressing on Discogs, and the "How we priced this" panel shows what I saw when I priced it: what copies have actually sold for, the cheapest one for sale right now, and what the grade suggests. The goal is to sit, on average, about 10% under the going market value.

On the day my price is above the market, the panel says so in red. Check my work — the source link goes straight to the pressing.

Because it's a used shop. Every record here is one specific copy with its own grade, photos and history — not a title that restocks. When it sells, it's gone.

The page stays up, though. Sold records keep their listing and their price, and they collect on the Sold page, so what a record went for stays on the record.

Records are heavy, and shipping them one at a time is the most expensive way to move them. So the shop works in boxes: a box holds 12 records, and a full box — or $250, whichever comes first — ships free anywhere in Canada.

Anything short of that ships at cost, calculated at checkout. The $100 minimum only applies when an order ships on its own; box holds and pickup go at any size.

It means I hold what you bought at the shop while you keep digging. Buy a record or two at a time, pick "Add to my box" at checkout, and the box fills up until it's full or you tell me to send it. A $20 record can start a box.

Otherwise, sales are final. Every copy is graded and photographed before it's listed, and that grading is the guarantee — which is why the condition notes are as blunt as they are.
